| David Schoen is a well known fashion photographer
who worked in Europe for 27 years. He has done Vogue in Italy and England, Cosmopolitan
in France, Italy, and the United States, and hundreds of magazine covers. For 15 years he
has covered the Pret Á Porter ( Ready to wear) fashion
collections in Paris.
He was raised in New York City and began photographing
rock-n-roll bands in the 60's including Jefferson Airplane and Credence Clearwater
Revival. For five years he was a staff photographer for Andy Warhol's interview.
In his 39 years as a photographer he has done nine solo round the world trips,
doing reportage for travel and tourism in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Jamaica, Sudan, Hawaii,
Venezuela among many others. During a year living in India, David spent four months
trekking in the Himalayas, including a photo study of Mt. Everest.
While the diversity of David's work has included Pepsi Cola and Neiman Marcus, the
thrust of his work has been a romantic sensuality, including a beautiful retrospective art
book in Europe in 1989.
His ability to develop new talent is well known around the world and editors look
forward to his latest discoveries.
David is very interested in the Beauty of Nature, the history and archeology of Aksum (Ethiopia), and the Maya of Central America.
